    Do not buy.

by Kayla McNulty on Oct 21, 2025

Do not buy. Went 9 weeks with these birds. Not a single one of the 58 I ordered, was over 3.5 lbs. I called to see how Strombergs would rectify the situation before writing a review and they said they don’t guarantee anything other than birds alive in 48 hours. They did not care how the birds turned out and didn’t ask any questions. Just shut me down and told me there would be no partial refund, credit…nothing. I find it to be completely false advertising to state the AVERAGE of these birds at 6-8 weeks is 5-6lbs each, when out of 58 birds (while I did have a few die which is to be expected) I only had 4 birds over 3lbs. All other birds were about 2 pounds. Completely false advertising. Take your business elsewhere or count on paying full price for 1/2 the bird. This was not my first time raising and processing meat birds. Earlier in the spring I bought CC birds from a local supplier and they turned out to be 6-8lbs and we raised them the same way we did this round. I will not be coming back here and will stick to when my local can supply birds.

    BUYER BEWARE

by Sean on May 19, 2025

You will not know when these birds are going to show up until the hatchery they work through actually ships them. That could be anywhere from the next day to the end of the season. In my opinion, they make it sound like you'll get some kind of shipping information after they confirm your order with the hatchery. That is not the case. According to their customer service reps, they have no way of getting that information to you beforehand like a normal hatchery would. If you need that information in a timely manner then I'd suggest saving yourself the heartache and $15 cancellation fee and order from somewhere else. I tried explaining this issue with their CSR and I might as well have been talking to a cement block.
