    I would give the plucker 3 stars. We had to tighten belts after less than 300 birds. Plucker is to strong when running right and breaks lots of legs and wings. We are a small commercial operation and do hundreds of chickens a year and we know how to process chickens. We scald and pluck 4, 4 to 5 pound chickens at a time. When you don't tear skin but it breaks limbs it's not a scalding issue. Their customer service is the worst in the ag. bussiness I've ever experienced. Their site said to enter if you were a commercial bussiness and wanted to be tax exempt and they would have a representative call to set that up. Never heard from them. We got the plucker, no manual, no instructions on maintenance, no parts break down. The plucker stops working in the middle of a processing day. I call them and explain the situation and nothing. That was 5 days ago. The only way I knew what the problem was, was by reading another review where they had the same problem. This company gets 1 star just because they shipped the item quickly and packed it well bringing this review down to 2 stars. I will never buy from these guys again. I have a lousy plucker and lost wages because of these guys.

    Xlarge plucker

    This plucker worked really well for our operation! We did about 1,000 birds with it so far. Once we figured out that the belt needs to be tightened roughly every 100-150 birds, it works flawlessly! 18 seconds is what it takes for the birds to be completely plucked, we did 4 birds at a time with ease, there was plenty of room for more, it was just what worked for our assembly line.
