Hood protects drinking area for better sanitation. The cover and inside body lift off for easy cleaning and lifting. Inner container is inverted for filling. Outer container is replaced and the fount is turned over. The water automatically feeds down. NO VALVES TO STICK OR CLEAN. This fount does not come with the cone top as seen in the picture.
