Keep your birds healthy with acidified copper sulfate—it’s an inorganic compound that is safe for drinking water and feed for turkeys, chickens, pigeons, and other poultry.
It can be used as a preventative and treatment for blackhead (histomoniasis) in turkeys and canker (trichomonosis) in chickens. Acidified copper sulfate can also be used to treat white spots on the birds’ throats. Acidified copper is a source of supplemental copper for chickens and turkeys. It can also reduce stress and the picking of feathers.
Acidified copper sulfate is a safe antibiotic to use for all types of poultry; be sure to only feed birds that are over 3 weeks old. Use acidified copper sulfate with caution, and be sure to follow the directions for use carefully, particularly when mixing with drinking water for any birds
