    Awful experience

by Karen on Jul 26, 2024

My first quail hatch, but I have had prior success with chickens and turkeys. Was excited to give quail a try! Waited months for the eggs to arrive, and promptly got them into the incubator. Followed directions exactly. Out of 30 eggs, only 10 hatched. And they were very staggered - a couple at a time over the course of 3 days. They all died within hours of hatching. It was absolutely traumatic. And I have no idea what went wrong.
