Fast, quick maturing, & reliable racing homer of a light bluish gray color w/2 black bars across the back part of the top surface of the wing. (blue bar) Well conditioned birds. Can fly 400-500 miles. Jansen's originated in Europe, Germany/Belgium.

    Sweet, beautiful Blue Bar Saddle Janssen Homing Pigeon.

    I was treated with a beautiful bird and she is doing very well. Unfortunately the second bird died in transit, but the first is thriving and her colors are wonderful. That she is a Janssen is a plus, as that bloodline is a proven thoroughbred among racing pigeons. I was told a replacement is to be sent out for the other bird. All's good and I'm enjoying watching her in the loft.

    I recently received a Blue Bar Saddle Janssen Racing Homing pigeon through Stromberg's. And the bird is so lovely, calm and is just as I expected. I ordered two, one died in transit, and they are replacing it. The pigeon was well cared from the breeder and is pet quality in its ease around me, but then has a wonderful build too for flight like you would expect with a Janssen that can fly long distances. To me these types of saddle pigeons of this type have a Seagull appearance which is an extra bonus!
