these seem to be of a newer design than the originals but they are still a high quality item. The instructions and templates are clear and offer as many options as could be imagined.
We used these hubs many years ago to build a dome that housed all out door equipment AND had translucent side and roof panels for starting seeds in late winter. Outstanding idea, economical materials (8' 2x4s), fun to build! My pre-teen sons shingled the roof.build

Years ago I bought two sets of starplates. One set I used to build an enclosure for my capuchin using 1 5/8 gal. fence tubing. That was over ten years ago and it is still standing. Coco (my capuchin) recently passed away from cancer. Plans are to convert the enclosure to a gazebo and memorial for him. Starplates are very STRONG! The enclosure has held up to strong winds and 1 ft snow storms.
We used these to build a gazebo in my back yard in Sacramento, California about 25 years ago. I loved it! It was so easy and very attractive when the gazebo was finished!
