Description

The body of the silky dove is like any other of the ringneck dove varieties except there is a drastic difference in the feathering. The inner web of the feather is connected to the feather shaft, but the outer web is not, causing the silky effect.

    Couldn’t be happier with my dove

    About 3 months ago I received my silky female ring neck dove from Strombergs and she is absolutely perfect. She’s a quiet, loving, affectionate, and tame bird who was already very tame from the moment she arrived. She is so chill that she even allows me to put a harness on her and take her outside where she runs and jumps around. She’s great traveling in the car and well behaved in stores and public. She also barely flies (she prefers to hop around or walk but can fly). I definitely reccomend the silky to anyone looking for a companion dove. The only thing I will say is that it took a month to receive her after placing the order. Worth the wait though
