Description
Java Green Peafowls also referred to as Muticus-Muticus, are part of the pheasant family. These gorgeous birds love grassland where they find plenty to eat, including bugs and small rodents. They are also excellent snake hunters. In addition to foraging, their diet consists of game bird pellets. If caged, a netted top is required, as these birds are excellent flyers. They love to roost high up in trees. Many owners choose to allow their Javas to roam free. Not pinioned or clipped.
