Mute Swan is renowned for its quiet demeanor, distinguishing it from more vocal swan species. It embodies elegance and grace, making it a perfect centerpiece for any waterfowl collection. These beautiful birds are monogamous, forming lifelong pair bonds—so strong that they sometimes mourn their mates deeply if separated or lost. Adults can weigh up to 26 pounds, with both males and females featuring pristine white plumage, bright orange beaks outlined in black. Males possess a prominent black knob at the base of their beak and are generally larger than females.
Their diet includes game bird pellets, hen scratch, aquatic vegetation, grass, greens, and occasionally insects, supporting their robust health and natural behaviors.
