Dual Purpose Birds

These birds are a compromise between the egg layers and the meat producers. They generally don't put on weight as fast as the meat breeds nor do they lay as many eggs as the egg layers. They are the typical backyard flock type birds. You will have a nice supply of eggs and the excess roosters and older hens will provide a great chicken dinner.

You will need your chicken brooder, chick feeders and chick founts ready when your chicks arrive to keep them warm and healthy when they arrive. Check out our online chick care guide, and for more information or look at our wide selection of chicken books. Please see our page about shipping birds to learn more about how we get these great birds to you.

We are sorry, but we do not export live birds, eggs or adult birds including pigeons or doves.
