Mareks vaccine is recommended for the vaccination of healthy one-day-old chicks only, to aid in the prevention of the signs and lesions of Mareks disease. Give subcutaneously only (injected into the bird). For vaccination, an automatic syringe with 22- to 20-gauge needles, 3/8-inch to 1/2-inch in length, is recommended. Make certain that all equipment is sterilized and change needles frequently. Inject each chick subcutaneously with 0.2 mL (two-tenths of a milliliter) of the vaccine. Inject into the back of the chicks neck by pinching the skin. This ships on Mondays and Tuesdays only. You can overnight or special request a different ship day but you must call in.

Smaller would be better
Owner Response: Hello Kathy, I agree smaller would be better. Unfortunately the manufacturers of these vaccines have to scale them up to 1000 doses so that they can still make money on them. This for them is even a small amount. Recently we had to quit selling New Castle Vaccines because we could only get 10,000 dose vials. Which does not help the small farm holder. So while we do try to get the ear of our manufacturer to make smaller batches we have not had much luck. We will still continue to try but right now we can only get the 1000 dose size. Thank you for your order and I hope this information helps you and other customers understand why we sell 1000 dose vials. Enjoy your birds! Eric Stromberg
Owner Response: I am sorry to hear this. We ship these priority mail and it should have been shipped with a special cooler pack. Please give us a call at 800-720-1134 to get a replacement. Eric Stromberg
