The Cuckoo Marans is a dual purpose bird, with the male maturing at 7-8 lbs. and the female adult weight at 6 lbs. The hens will produce 150-200 very dark reddish brown eggs per year. They are a fast growing and extremely hardy bird that will thrive in most climates. They are a striking bird with a beautiful barred black and white pattern.
