| Large
Fowl Chickens
|
Large fowl chickens come in
a wide variety of breeds and varieties and provide most
of the traditional egg, meat and utility breeds. They
typically range in size from 4 to 14 pounds in weight
when fully grown. |
| Bantam
Chickens
|
Smaller counterparts of the
standard chicken, bantams typically range from 1-3 lbs
depending on the breed. Their size and efficiency make
them popular with small flock owners. There are also a
number of beautiful ornamental breeds that are available
only as bantams |
| Turkeys
|
Domestic turkeys are available
in several varieties. Their interesting nature and the
striking physical characteristics of this species makes
it both an interesting addition to a small flock, or
a healthy future meal.
Wild Turkeys are also available. |
| Domestic
Waterfowl
Ducks
Geese
|
For those with the right
environment, domestic ducks and geese are very popular.
They range form tiny calls through massive Embdens,
Dewlap Toulouse and African Geese.
Ducks require some water and space. They can be effective
in bug and slug control. Smaller breeds will need some
protection from predators around the clock and larger
varieties will need protection while they rest at night.
Geese require more space and while they are fond of
water, can get by with a wading pool and water buckets.
They are very intelligent and thrive on good pasture
as they are primarily grazers. |
| Wild
Waterfowl
|
Wild waterfowl are the jewels
of the poultry world. They are beautiful and interesting,
but may require some special care and facilities to thrive
and reproduce. |
| Gamebirds
Pheasant
Quail
Partridge
Wild
Turkeys |
Gamebirds include pheasant,
quail, grouse/partridge and wild turkeys. We offer several
varieties of the well known Ringneck pheasant as well
as a number of ornamental and exotic pheasants.
We offer several types of quail, wild turkeys and Chukar
Partridge. Hungarian Partridge avail be as eggs only. |
| Guineas
Peafowl |
Guinea fowl are a pheasant
like bird from Africa. They are good sentinel's and
can be effective in vermin control. They are a very
unique and interesting addition to the farm, but will
flock together and tend to range. They can be substituted
for pheasant as table fare.
Peafowl provide a stunning display and are very interesting
to observe. As with guinea fowl, they are good watch
birds sounding an unmistakable alarm if alarmed. |
Doves
Pigeons
|
We have a selection of over
45 varieties of Ringneck and Diamond Doves as well as
new varieties of flying and fancy pigeons to our 2006
catalog.
|
| Button

adult Button Quail and several kinds of Coturnix Quail
