Design Your Own System... Automatic Drink Cup Kits Larger, Deeper Cup - Positive Spring Closed Valve - Easy Installation The ADCUP system is operated by the mechanical pecking of the birds on the valve stem within cup. Initially when setting up the system, allow water to fill about half the cup. This will attract the birds and train them to peck the valve stem for water. Make sure you observe your birds for a few days to assure that they have learned to peck the valve for water. When designing your system, plan on 100 ft. maximum length of tubing. Cup spacing will be dependent on your cage spacing-ideally cups about 18"-24" apart. The ADCUP screws onto the mounting bracket-ADBRK. This allows you to take off the cup for cleaning, positioning in the cage or draining the tubing. The ADCL clamps are used to fasten the tubing snugly to the ADBRK-brackets, the tubing and the ADTEE-tees to prevent leaking at all these connections. Slide the ADCL-clamps on the tubing sections before you fasten the tubing to the brackets or tees. The ADTEE-tees are used to connect the main tubing line to a section of tubing running down to the ADCUP. The ADS-tubing splicers will be necessary if connecting one section of tubing directly to another section of tubing. The ADTT- ties are used to fasten the tubing securely to the cage wire. To keep the birds from perching on the cups, tack a short length of wire, on an angle, above the center of the cup. This system is not designed for use in areas subject to freezing. Place the ADPV pressure reducing valve at least 1 ft. above the cups.

The Edstrom Drinker valves feature positive valve shut-off that is virtually leak proof. The key to this design is a combination of the tough, yet springy diaphragm, and the resilient long life O-ring. When an animal needs a drink, it will seek the drop of water that can be found at the end of the drinking valve. When he drinks, he will move the valve stem causing more water to flow. Since the valve is actuated by the biting or licking motion, your animal or bird regulates the amount of water used, with little or no spillage. The design of the Edstrom valve allows greater clearance the valve stem and the sealing system. The result is maximum resistance to mineral deposits. The valve can be operated by an animal with a system pressure as high as 10 P.S.I. or as low as 1/8 P.S.I. Recommended System Pressure can be achieved by using a Storage tank, a float valve controlled tank or a pressure reducing valve. The storage tank system will serve up to 75 valves. When planning your system, keep these guidelines in mind: A:) the maximum length of a water line is 50 feet. B:) tubing standoffs used to support the water line should be spaced no more than 18" apart and located at every tee. C:) a drain valve should be located at the end of each water line.
